2001 Sunday 22nd July.

The 10th anniversary event attracted 260 exhibitors and approximately 22,000 visitors To mark the 10th anniversary Warrington Borough Transport allowed us to have a new level accessible bus painted in the DAD colours and logo, this was supported by Warrington Borough Council, North Cheshire Health and Warrington Community Health Care NHS Trust

Over 40 exhibitors received recognition for exhibiting at all 10 DAD event

Cheshire Deafness Support Network supplied British Sign Language Interpreters situated on stage in the Arts Marquee and Main Arena, a team also supported people travelling around the event site

Extra Care Charitable Trust sponsored the DAD VIP and Sponsors Reception and launched their Warrington based Ryefields Village Project

DAD Week included a Barbeque in the Park which raised valuable funds for Leonard Cheshire's Griffith's Court Project

I visited Buckingham Palace where I received an MBE, Prince Charles mention DAD during our conversation, he had heard that DAD was the largest event of its kind in the world, well we're not sure about that but if His Royal Highness says so, who are we to disbelieve him?!
