DAD 2011 Management Team (Alias DAD's Army)
The management team for DAD 2011 consists of representatives from voluntary and Statutory organisations.
- Audrey Rogers - WDP. Exhibitor Data Co-ordinator.
- Brian Wilson - Warrington Community Transport. Coordinates Park and Ride activities for DAD.
- Brun Corbishley - WDP. Facilities and logistics Coordinator. Administration of the event takes months of planning, communicating and a huge amount of commitment from everyone. If you want to know anything about DAD and Dave isn't about then ask Brun.
- Caroline Thompson - WDP. Caroline is usually one step ahead of everything that is needed and has a finger in every pie mainly the coordination of the DAD's Management actions, Stewards registrations, overseeing the DAD administration and VIP Reception with Jayne.
- Dave Connor - WDP. Coordinates sporting activities at DAD with assistance from Rachael Hanlon.
- Dave Thompson MBE DL - 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Event Co-ordinator. If it goes well, Dave tends to get the thanks, when it goes wrong he always get the blame and he is the first to say that we have a great team. If you can't find him - check the Scuba Dive Pool and he won't be far away.
- Derek Jones - WDP. Coordinates the positive action, employment and schools events. Also works as a sports broadcaster and presenter for the BBC - in his spare time!!!!
- Doreen Crossley - WDP. Coordinates all DAD finances. Interestingly everyone is very nice to Doreen!
- Gavin Thompson - WDP. Assistant head steward, member of the DAD Week Team, grown up with DAD, first DAD event at the age of 12. Dave's son and potential future Co-ordinator!
- Graham Horton - WDP. Coordinator for Stewards Control Point, a member of the DAD Week Team and our Quiz Master for the BBQ in the Park. Beany, Mr Reliable and Mr Organised (he'd do anything to join his dive buddy in the Scuba Dive Pool)!
- Ian Johnson - Walton Hall Estates Manager. Ian will be keeping a watching brief on our careful use of the sacred grounds of Walton Hall.
- Jayne Horton - WDP. Jayne ensures that we keep all the balls in the air, catching the ones that nearly fall! She coordinates the Programme, BBQ Charity Auction merchandise, Stewards locations and VIP Reception with Caroline.
- Maria McPartland - WDP. Coordinates the Arts Events at the Launch and DAD main event. Ex- professional Stage Manager, Holistic Therapist, Drama Teacher and Classic Car enthusiast.
- Pam Thompson - WDP. Mrs DAD. Exhibitor mail out, keeps the DAD Week Team fed and watered and Mum to the Thorn Cross lads and being married to Dave also means being married to DAD.
- Rachael Hanlon - WDP. Rachael co-ordinates the DAD Week Party in the Park and bookings for the Sports Zone.
- Sue Abbott - WDP & Skillzone. Sue co-ordinates our websites, ably assisted by daughter and friend of DAD Penny. Sue also supports the Pulse Sponsored Walk and Graffiti Wall.
- Terry Cook - Scottish Power. DAD head steward, Mr Reliable, his "safety first" mentality, member of the DAD Week Team and a cool head are great assets to the team. Sometimes found hiding in trees!
- Tom Horton - WDP. Tom coordinates the DAD programme advertising and BBQ Auction - he is the baby member of the DAD Week Team after growing up with DAD.
- Tommy Hammond - WDP. Chico and Mr Fix-it. A vital member of the DAD Week Team and always knows where everything is- especially our road signs.
- Val Caldwell - WDP. Val is new to the DAD management team and oversees external communications - always seems to know a guy who knows a guy!
- Wayne Darbyshire - Thorn Cross Young Offenders Institute. Wayne co-ordinates the great team of lads from Thorn Cross. Fondly known by the team as Mr Muscles!
