DAD Week 2017

The week leading up to DAD is always full of exciting and interesting events.

Saturday 8th July

6.00pm Disability Arts Showcase
Parr Hall Warrington
Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation and Culture Warrington will host their first ever disability Arts festival in the Parr Hall Warrington! Performing arts groups will take to the stage to showcase their talents in dance, drama and music. Tickets available from the Pyramid Box office: 01925 442345 or pyramidparrhall.com.

Tuesday 11th July

9.30am to 12.30pm: Schools Disability Matters Schools Event
Walton Hall, Walton Gardens
Students from schools across the area will attend our annual interactive awareness event aimed at dispelling myths and misconceptions associated to disability and disabled people. Invitation only please contact Derek Jones 01925 240064

7.00pm to 10.30pm: Frogtastic
Arts Marquee Walton Gardens Warrington
The event features two fantastic tribute acts plus other special guests and a full supporting show including the Frogtastic DJ. Licensed bar available, bring your own food!

Wednesday 12th July

10.30am to 3.30pm: Ignite Your Life. Mental Health & Wellbeing Workshops & Exhibition
Arts Marquee, Walton Gardens.

7pm to 10.30pm: Ella's Summertime Special

Thursday 13th July

1pm to 4pm: Lifetime Centre and Wired Carers - Tea Party
Arts Marquee, Walton Gardens

5.00pm to 9.00pm: Children’s Party in the Park
Arts Marquee, Walton Gardens
A partnership of local children and young people’s support groups present a fun filled evening for disabled children, disabled young people, their families and friends. Activities include Arts, Dance, Sports, plus chill out and fun areas. Contact Tom Walsh 01925 240064

Friday 14th July

7.30pm to 11.30pm: The DAD Mega Quiz Night
Arts Marquee Walton Gardens Warrington
Teams of up to eight people for a fun quiz, a raffle with hundreds of pounds worth of prizes, and a hilarious session or two of stand up Bingo! There will be hot and cold food, a licensed bar and a fantastic charity auction. £8 a ticket includes food.

Saturday 15th July

5pm to 8pm: Wolves in the Park
Arts Marquee, Walton Gardens
Warrington Wolves Foundation and WDP present Wolves in the Park. Meet your favourite players from the Warrington Wolves. Question and answer session, autographs and photos and touch rugby games. 4pm to 6pm, £5 for adults, children free. For more information contact Janis Williams 01925 240064

10am to 5pm: The Big Event. Disability Awareness Day
Walton Hall Gardens
World’s largest voluntary led pan disability exhibition. Over 250 exhibitors from voluntary, statutory, private and business organisations with hundreds of ideas for independent living supported by a fun packed day out for all the family.
