Find your way to DAD

Disability Awareness Day is held in Walton Hall Gardens in Warrington, Cheshire. The site is well signposted and we have helpers to organise parking and point people in the right direction once they arrive at the Gardens.

By Car

Take the A56 out of Warrington, turning left at The Walton Arms public house. If you are coming by motorway Walton Gardens is two miles north of junction 11 on the M56. You can download a PDF file supplied by Walton Hall with maps and more detailed directions , or you can look at the Google interactive map on the right. Alternatively you can set your Satnav to WA4 6SN.

Park & Ride

A free fully accessible park & ride service will be available from Wilderspool Park - Greenalls Avenue (WA4 6HL) which is located adjacent to Morrisons off the A49 Wilderspool Causeway, just outside Stockton Heath. The service will be well sign posted and is available to anybody attending DAD. The first minibus from Wilderspool Park will leave at 9.30am and every 15 minutes thereafter. The last bus will leave Walton Gardens at 5.15 (please note the gates at Wilderspool park will be locked at 6.00pm). For more details contact the DAD office on Tel 01925 240064.

By Bus

A free accessible bus service will operate from the Warrington Bus Interchange situated by Warrington Central Station and the Golden Square Shopping Centre to the Walton terminus (opposite the Walton Arms pub). This leaves a journey of approximately 800 metres to the event site. The first bus will leave the bus station at 9.30am and every 30 minutes thereafter. Return journeys will also operate at 30 minute intervals at a quarter past and quarter to the hour, every hour, with the last bus leaving the Walton terminus at 5.15pm. Rail

Warrington Central Station and Warrington Bank Quay Station are both fully accessible. This includes assistance, lifts, accessible toilets and car parking within easy reach of the stations. Please contact your rail operator for more details.
