DAD Week 2021

The week leading up to DAD is always full of exciting and interesting events. This is our draft programme so far, check back to see developments!

Monday 6th September

10am – 1pm Disability Awareness and Smart Heart Event
Walton Hall & Gardens: Warrington Disability Partnership & Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust present a fun workshop for primary school pupils and their teachers. Aimed at raising awareness of disability and heart related long-term conditions. This event is free, preregistration is required: Contact John Balshaw 01925 240064.

Tuesday 7th September

7pm – 10.30pm WDP 30th Year Celebrations
Arts Marquee, Walton Gardens: Supporters past and present will be invited to a celebraiton of the thirty year journey of Warrington Disability Partnership and Disbaility Awareness Day. Invitation only event.

Wednesday 8th September

6.30pm – 10.00pm Frogtastic in the Park
Arts Marquee, Walton Gardens: Featuring fantastic Tribute Artists plus special guests including DJ’s from the famous Frogtastic Club Night. Come and enjoy a great evening of Live Music, Dance Floor and Licenced Bar, bring your own food. Advanced Tickets £6.00 call 07875 142233 or online at www.ldok.net/shop, £8 on the door.

Thursday 9th September

6pm- 9.30pm – Children’s Party in the Park
Marquees 9 and 10, Walton Gardens: Warrington Wolves Foundation, Warrington Disability Partnership and Warrington Youth Club present a fun filled evening for disabled children/young people, their families and friends. Sports, Arts, Dance, chill out and fun areas. Free admission: Contact Sue 01925 240064.

7pm- 11.30pm – 2021 Rugby League World Cup Fundraiser
Arts Marque, Walton Gardens: Further details will be confirmed soon.

Friday 10th September

10am – 12noon – Making Warrington Disability Confident
Walton Hall & Gardens: Warrington Disability Partnership, Jobcentre Plus and Warrington Business Exchange present a workshop on how to make your business or organisation Disability Confident. The event will include the launch of the Warrington Employers Network Group. This event is free, preregistration is required: Contact John Balshaw 01925 240064.

7.30pm - 11.30pm DAD Mega Quiz Night, Charity Auction with Hot Food
Arts Marquee, Walton Gardens: Teams of up to 8 people, hundreds of £'s worth of prizes, fun quiz, great food, licensed bar and a charity auction. Tickets £8.00 (includes hot food). Contact Kate on 01925 240064.

Sunday 12th September

10am - 4pm the Big Event – 30th Disability Awareness Day
Walton Hall Gardens: World’s largest voluntary led pan disability exhibition. Free admission
